Welcome to Centerville High School!

Centerville High School is a comprehensive public high school serving more than 2,700 students in grades 9-12 who reside in Centerville-Washington Township. CHS offers a rigorous curriculum with the purpose of preparing students for college and careers, as well as co-curricular programs.

The Centerville High School day is 7:50 a.m.-2:50 p.m.

Class of 2024 Commencement

We are excited to celebrate with the Centerville High School Class of 2024!

Commencement will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 18 at the Wright State University Nutter Center. Doors open at 8 a.m.

CHS Theatre presents 'Mamma Mia!'

Centerville High School Theatre will present the mega-hit musical comedy Mamma Mia! at 7:30 p.m. on April 19-20 and April 26-27 in the Performing Arts Center. Based on songs by ABBA, it features favorites like “Dancing Queen,” “Super Trouper,” and “Money, Money, Money” in the story of a young woman searching for her father as she’s about to get married.

All tickets are $15 and will be available at the door or online. Golden Elk and staff IDs will be accepted at the door.

Centerville High School is ranked in the top 10% of public high schools in the U.S. and the top 7% in Ohio in the U.S. News and World Report 2023-24 rankings of Best High Schools. Congratulations to our staff, students and families, not only at CHS but also at our primary, elementary and middle schools, on this accomplishment!

Preparing for Education & Careers

With combined efforts of home and community, the mission of the high school is to graduate responsible and motivated citizens prepared for post-high school education and careers. Our emphases on academic excellence and a caring environment foster graduates who possess competencies in basic skills, effective communication skills, analytical thinking skills, problem solving skills and positive attitudes toward self and others. These attributes will enable students to become lifelong learners capable of meeting the challenges of a changing world.
