Environmental Science
Environmental Science, taught by Mr. Robert Erwin, is a college prep science block class for juniors and seniors at Centerville, Fairmont and Oakwood High Schools.
Students study many areas of environmental science including soils, wildlife management, natural resources, solid waste, water quality, air quality GIS, GPS and forestry management. Traditional classroom work, field experiences, professional partnerships and open-ended problem-solving projects are the tools used to provide students with meaningful and lasting knowledge. Students are also given opportunities to obtain professional licenses and certifications, college credit and other unique experiences which can make a difference in such a competitive field of Environmental Science.
